Emma is supported by a team of assistants who have personal and profession experience. Their expertise include welfare rights, financial assessments and social care funding, court of protection, power of attorney and person centred support planning, personal budgets and Direct Payments.
Emma is a member of the Association of Independent Visitors (AIV).
She undertakes work for solicitors and private individuals, primarily assessing a person’s Mental Capacity to make a decision or execute a document or as an independent visitor to check on a person’s wellbeing.

Emma is a Practicing Solicitor
Emma qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and now provides consultancy services to the law firm Fairweather Law Limited in Suffolk as a Professional Attorney and Deputy for a number of clients. She is also Abe to provide formal legal advice through Fairweather Law Limited.

Emma works for the Office of the Public Guardian and Court of Protection.
Emma is an Independent General Visitor. This is a public appointment she has held since 2010. The OPG or Court of Protection commission Emma directly to undertake visits to Deputies and Attorneys and completes Mental Capacity Assessments on their behalf.
Independent Advocacy
As an Advocate, Emma has worked with vulnerable clients and their families since 2010 , primarily as an advocate for a regional charity. She is a qualified Advocate and IMCA. Other members of the team also have advocacy qualifications including DOLS and RPR, IMCA and Non-Instructed Advocacy.
